Hi there, when I applied, I did have to all my details on UCAS however, for me, they didn’t require certificates, only my 1st year transcript. I cannot say whether they consider all the information you have provided as well, I’m sure it varies and different institutions have different requirements.

Hi there, when I tried to login using the exact same details, which was auto saved on my computer, it said it didn’t have an account of those details. I even tried to log in manually too. I read online it’s only active for a year unless you defer and then it deletes. I’m glad you were able to log in still! Saves a lot of time. 😊

Firstly, not minimum wage - wasn’t at the time when I worked there and still not now, so the remark is incorrect. Secondly, no one likes a job shamer, do they now. Interesting you would search the video, click on it, comment and post it… when it most likely doesn’t concern you. Please be nicer towards people, because especially now, not everyone has the luxury and people do indeed have to pick up another job. You want supermarkets etc to be stocked and replenished, so take that into consideration. Take care.

Hello. I’m in the same situation as you I am planning on transferring from Essex to Aston University after my first year. Would Aston university reject me if they see I have bad grades but I have done well in my first year?

Hi, they are looking for times when you went above and beyond. I gave an example of a time when we were low on stock of a particular product on the shopfloor, this customer really wanted X product - I looked in the warehouse (although normally you wouldn’t find extra products as the shop is replenished throughout the day) but to my luck, I found the item they wanted and they were very thankful. It doesn’t have to be a true life example you can lie/exaggerate, as long as you know the purpose and outcome of showing good customer service. I hope this helped :)

I don’t know where to begin.. thank you so much for your kind words and taking time to comment. I really do appreciate it. I’m glad I wasn’t the only one! It was very humiliating to film as well, I felt out of control and felt stuck.. now, I would have walked off!! Unfortunately, with reality shows or shows with reality elements, it’s very fake - the editing and how you’re treated as well as the ins and outs of what goes on vaguely being told! I’m sure you know all of this and you seem to be a very good person. I actually detailed my hurt to the production company in writing and I will leave it at - therefore, they knew. Plus, public reaction included a lot of uncomfortable reactions. It was a big learning curve for me. I’m always very very careful (although I normally was prior tbh) with what I work on. Thank you so much!! You do have to mention why, yes. Only a couple sentences I was told to include so they understand why. My circumstances were to be closer to home and to attend a London university. Please don’t worry - this, at least to my knowledge, (which why would it?) doesn’t hinder your application. Yes you can say that - sweet talk if you like lol, but ultimately it’s about your grades and drive.

For my course, I had 1 presentation in 1st year. It varies between courses and whether it’s part of the module. You can normally find out on the university website if you’re curious!

University can be very intense. I know exactly how you feel, but it will fall into place - are you still thinking of moving go Brighton?

@@MassimoPeluso I've eaten plenty of breakfasts from various establishments in and around the area and if l was served that, l would of sent it back. Presentation is key and that didn't look presentable!

As have I. Presentation is important to me, however the food itself trumps that. How else would you serve that, it’s a basic fry-up. This video is from 5 years ago.

Hi! I’m sorry but I don’t really know much about Birkbeck, I would suggest which it seems you have done already, not only looking at the universities ranking, but ranking for the subject. For example London Met Uni is ranked a little low but for my subjects it’s ranked well. Where does your heart tell you? £5000 is a lot more money… you will be happy wherever you go, you can have a good experience wherever you attend. I do like London Met, my department are all lovely and it has great connections. Have you looked round both unis?

I attended South Essex College. You say you’re behind? How so? Were you not able to submit? If so, what has your college suggested, have they helped?

Finished now only qualification I have is is the foundation diploma not the extended diploma failed to sumbit assignment on time also late to my exam

I’m currently studying both Psychology and Sociology, in Brighton there was a fair few people, around a class of around 30 or so perhaps. I transferred and I’m now in London and there is only around half a class of people. I don’t study only Sociology, so I’m unsure on how many people are enrolled on that course. I hope this helps.

Of course I have Sociology modules, but that that varies in numbers as people from different courses - Psychology & Sociology, Sociology, Sociology & Social Policy etc, are enrolled.

Hi, thank you for your comment :) I know the struggle - it’s a big deal and so many factors to consider. Yes, London is very expensive but I feel there are workarounds. I.e living further out or living in university accommodation. Brighton can be just as expensive in my experience. If you want to be near London, brighton is perfect for that! I stayed in a new-build, which was a little costly. It was like £8K for 40 weeks or so. There are 100% other places which are more affordable. Overall, I feel it was good value I suppose, there was (like most uni cities/towns) have deals for students like fresher deals and discounts on drinks etc. there are lots of vintage/charity shops around so you can get your clothing for amazing prices. Restaurants are average I would say, some are expensive depending on location of course. I do, a lot of uni events, events in the city, shops, restaurants, attractions, it was busy! There are all sorts of clubs, bars and restaurants in brighton. I’m the same - I’m not fussed about nightlife haha. Comedy nights are a thing, causal events etc. I went to this really nice small bar in the centre, there is something for everyone. I hope I’ve helped in some way x

Hi, thank you for your comment. Are you not doing maths at the moment? I know what you mean - it’s difficult. A-Levels are very intense, it’s up to you whether you feel you can tackle that and if you would prefer to do BTEC Law instead next year? As you already know what BTECs are like. I know people who are studying law after having studied BTEC law! There are options, so many options! I did BTEC business for a year and then did my 3 a levels. I don’t see the harm in doing another qualification next year - it will clearly benefit you.

Hey I am doing btec level 3 business in college and retaking maths is well, but am not sure if I want to carry on doing that or improve my gcse and do alevel next year. I have done my research and many unis will accept be to do law with btec but I am not sure with what step to take.

Hi, yes you can! If you missed the mark or exceeded requirements, or for whatever circumstance want to change - clearing is a possibility even if you’re transferring.

Yes it is. Don’t take my word for it, but I’m sure it is possible for other years but I’m unsure on the procedures if you were to transfer from 2nd - 3rd year to another university. I believe it is possible as a girl in my class did that. I would recommend asking, I’m sure it is possible!

Hi, thank you for your comment. This really depends on many factors such as when your submitted your application, what course you would like to study, and especially with Covid, things may be slower. It’s hard but you have to be patient - I know the struggle :(

Hi, thank you for your comment :) well done receiving on your offers! I am going to be honest, I don't know much about Hult International. Did you have an idea before your offers, which university you would like to go to? The best location for travelling, for your course, provider of societies, the nightlife etc - when I applied to my universities in year 13, I knew for months after choosing my 1st and 2nd option, what unis I would like to go to. Aston University and University of Brighton, were my options and I ultimately didn't mind which one I went to. I recommend weighing up pros and cons and then deciding. I personally did not care about student experiences because obviously everyone's will be different - researched what the university had to offer and what the town/city had. I hope I have helped in some way.

Hi, thank you for your comment. I’m not sure how much you know about my journey, but I attended Brighton University for my first year before transferring. I live near London, and there were only 2 universities in London that did my course: London Met and Greenwich, and those were the 2 I applied to. I hope that helps :)
